We spent some time getting lost in antique shops, getting Will some toys at a children's store, and shopping at my favorite yarn shop. I needed some pink yarn for our sweet little girl. Mike was a great sport about it all.
We stayed at the lovely Sourwood Inn which rests high on top of a mountain. This was the view from our room's balcony. The weather was overcast and rainy, but we made the best of it.
We saw wild turkeys everywhere! These two characters were out near the road on a trip into downtown. Not a care in the world!
Pregnancy cravings hit, so we ate lunch at the fancy Biltmore Village McDonald's. As my friend Sarah said, "It's still a quarter pounder."

Later in the afternoon, we stopped for dessert at the Rose Tea Room. This place was right out of a southern girl's dream. Mike tolerated it like a champ.
CAUGHT! Mike actually relaxing in front of the fire at the Inn. It took him a full 24 hours to let it hit him, but he finally stopped to take a deep breath.
One of the many things we love about this place is the woodburning fireplace in each guest room. Saturday night, Mike built us a warm fire.
Awww, leaving the Inn. We really love this place. But, we are so eager to get back to our little William. The break from diapers and bottles was nice, but we missed him dearly.
Two more turkeys! If you look closely, you can see that they are proudly fanning all of the feathers.
During the trip, we did some antiquing. Mike was on the hunt for an antique clock for our new baby girl's nursery. He found this beautiful 1920's clock at our last stop.
This is the clock he got for Will's nursery when he was born.

Don't we have awesome husbands, Anne Marie??? Mike sounds like such a trooper too...going to tea rooms with you, antique shops, yarn shops, all the girly places. We went to Asheville for our honeymoon, and we popped into that McDonald's too. Is it the same one that has a Grand Piano? Sounds like a great place y'all stayed too. So glad y'all had one last rendevouz before your baby girl arrives in just one month! Yippee!
